Mosquito Control

Mosquito control is one of the most challenging areas of pest control -- and one of the most important, as evidenced by the recent upsurge in cases of West Nile Virus.

As the diagram on the right shows, all but five states in the US reported human cases of West Nile Virus in 2003. West Nile Virus is a potentially serious and occasionally fatal virus transmitted by mosquitoes.

In view of the continuing concern about mosquitoes and West Nile Virus, BPCI now offers a comprehensive mosquito control program that is customized to fit your needs and budget.

Our program begins with a site survey to assess the present level of mosquito activity and identify conditions conducive to mosquito breeding. Often, simply identifying and correcting conditions favorable to mosquitoes will significantly reduce mosquito populations.

When necessary, we also can provide treatments ranging from highly-targeted spot treatments, to large-area, systematic control programs. We utilize various methods of control including inspection, larvicide, adulticide, spraying, and fogging.  We can customize a program for you.

For the 2004 season, we are offering homeowners a seasonal program of inspection, use of larvicides and adulticides where necessary, and fogging to help minimize the number of mosquitoes around your home for a reasonable price.*
